Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing Unitrl (“we” or “our”). Before you commence the deployment of our services, please carefully read the important information below regarding our refund and service terms. We are committed to providing customers with an excellent cloud service experience. Thus, we present you with detailed refund and service terms in collaboration with major public cloud service providers to ensure a clearer understanding.

AWS: Please note that due to the terms of service for Lightsail, we may not be able to offer you a refund under certain circumstances. Importantly, as per AWS’s official policy, Lightsail instances do not support system reinstallations. If system failures or irreparable damages occur due to user operations or reasons other than hardware issues, we will do our utmost to provide recovery assistance. However, all risks arising from this will be borne by the user.

GCP: When requesting a refund, the billing cycle of your chosen instance will be prorated by the hour. We will deduct the charges for the duration the instance was used and bandwidth charges calculated at a rate of 1.6 CNY/GB. After these deductions, the remaining amount will be credited back to your account balance.

Linode: According to Linode’s official billing guidelines, if you create a service instance mid-month, the initial transfer allowance for that instance will be adjusted based on the remaining days in the month. For example, if you create an instance on the 15th, you will receive 50% of the transfer quota for that month, with the remaining 50% available for use in the following month. This mechanism ensures that instances, whether created at the beginning or middle of the month, will receive their full transfer quota. When you apply for a refund for a Linode instance, we will deduct the charges for the duration the instance was used and bandwidth charges calculated at a rate of 0.08 CNY/GB. For instance, with Linode’s shared CPU-Nanode monthly instance priced at 48 CNY on Unitrl, it breaks down to approximately 0.072 CNY/hour. If you’ve consumed 100GB of bandwidth and request a refund after 48 hours of usage, we will deduct 11.456 CNY, resulting in a refundable amount of 36.544 CNY.

DigitalOcean: Similar to Linode, as per DigitalOcean’s billing guidelines, if you create a service instance mid-month, its initial transfer quota will be adjusted based on the remaining days of the month. For instance, if you create a droplet on the 15th, you’ll get 50% of the monthly transfer quota, with the remaining 50% available for use in the next month. This mechanism ensures that VMs, whether created at the beginning or mid-month, will receive their full transfer quota. When you apply for a refund for a droplet instance, we will deduct the charges for the duration the instance was used and bandwidth charges calculated at a rate of 0.08 CNY/GB. For example, the “Basic: 0.5GB/1CPU 10GB Disk 0.5TB Transfer” instance is priced at 40 CNY/month on Unitrl, which equates to 0.06 CNY/hour. If you’ve consumed 100GB of bandwidth and request a refund after 48 hours of usage, we will deduct 10.88 CNY, resulting in a refundable amount of 29.12 CNY.

Should you wish to request a refund, please submit the relevant ticket, and our professional team will process it promptly. To ensure fairness and to prevent refund abuse, the following provisions apply:

    1. If you request a refund within 24 hours of purchase, you’ll be billed for the full 24 hours.
    2. Monthly subscribers can request refunds within 15 days of purchase; refunds will not be granted after this period.
    3. Quarterly subscribers can request refunds within 45 days of purchase; refunds will not be granted after this period.
    4. Annual subscribers need to request refunds within the first 6 months of purchase; refunds will not be granted after this period.
